What a weekend we had! I guess I’ll start where I left off…KENSIE LOVED GYMNASTICS!!!

Y’all, I almost cried watching her at one point. π π€·πΌββοΈ Took me back to the good ole days and it was such an awesome experience watching my daughter enjoy something that I used to love as a little girl, too! I’m sure I sound half crazy saying that but hopefully my mom friends can relate. Haha!

She stood by me the first couple of minutes then slowly ventured out onto the floor. I had to be RIGHT next to her or holding her hand for the next 20ish minutes. Then, she was off on her own and even let coach Christie help her do things. (That’s huge for KB, lol)
So, we will be cancelling dance class. I can’t deal with the trauma. π I could go on and on about the joy her loving gymnastics brings me, but I’m sure y’all will hear enough of it in every Friday post moving forward. π
Moving on…we had such a special weekend because Gramps came to town!!!

…not only did he come but he came with Elsa accessories which is why my child looks…ummm…yeah, like that.

It’s hard to get Elsa performances now because as soon as she starts she yells “Alexa! PAUSE! I NEED my Elsa dress!!!” …then follows the 10 minute ordeal to find everything and change and by then she’s forgotten why she even changed in the first place. π€¦πΌββοΈ
On the bright side she’s been letting me put normal clothes on her sometimes (knock on wood) without a full wrestling and tantrum sesh.

We’ve been working with Kensie on her manners and using full sentences and this one is GOLD. If Kensie asks for something without saying please we say “how do you ask” and she’ll just say “please??” So, we’ve been having her repeat “May I please have….”
WELLLLL. Chris had his legs up on the ottoman and K wanted to pass by. She goes “move!” And Chris said “how do you ask?” She said “May I please have…MOVE!” I. Lost. It. π€£π€£π€£ Almost there girlfriend. Allllmost…
Leighton spent the weekend soaking in snuggles, smiling, “talking” and sleeping through the night like a BOSS. ππΌππΌπ₯³
I can’t believe this little chunk has been with us for 11 weeks already! (Disclaimer – I just had to count that on a calendar. People keep asking how old she is and I’m like uhhh…2ish months? π)
We spent a few hours at the zoo Sunday so Gramps could experience true Florida Hell…I mean heat. π

Kensie loved running around and showing us allll the animals and Leighton loved being strolled and catered to as usual. π
We’re already missing our Gramps but so thankful for the time we got to spend together this weekend!!!
Omg I love that she loves gymnastics! Aunt Rach has some leotards for when she gets bigger!! Theyβll be vintage and all the girls in her class will be asking where theyβre from!
