Day 10: Go Gators! 🐊

Miss Kensie had such a busy day and got to meet some of her baby friends! (She may not know it yet but that’s okay. 😜)

Kensie and her arranged BFF, Harper Joy!
Baby James was mackin’ on her! 😏

She rocked her Gator gear for the game…and it must have been good luck because WE WON!!! 🐊🎀

Thanks for the adorable outfit, Emily! And thank you Kathi for the headband!

After the game we headed to Spooktacular in Avalon for some Halloween fun!

Her first outing with Uncle Rob and Aunt Char!
Love being a family of 3!!
Her leg warmers were too big, but she had to be festive for the party!

Day 9: FriYAY!

Kensie had a relaxing Friday at home with mommy after our overly busy day yesterday! We discovered she loves the sound of the vaccuum and likes to be on her belly. We even caught a smile on camera today! Daddy had an early and long day at work. She was so excited to snuggle on him when he got home!

Day 8: K’s Photo Shoot!

Kensie had quite the busy day! This morning Chris did ultimate daddy duty and took K and the dogs for a walk. They were tangled twice before they turned the corner but they made it back home so I guess it went better than I expected! 😂

Then we headed to KB’s newborn photo shoot! I cannot wait to see all of the photos. The photographer was amazing and Kensie made for quite the entertaining little model.

The pacifier was only for in between 😉

After her photos we ran some errands and Kensie went back to the doctor for a weight check. She’s back to birth weight already and super strong and healthy!

K went a little punk rocker themed today.😜 I’m not a huge skull fan, but she pretty much makes anything cute!

Day 7: Kensie’s first outing

Kensie absolutely loves being outside and I desperately needed a coffee this morning. We decided to venture out for the first time on our own to mommy’s favorite place: Starbucks!!

Future Starbucks lover 😜

Kensie napped in the breeze while I got some work done. So thankful for such a content little girl and that she loves her car seat!

I cannot believe it has already been one week since we had this little angel! I’m loving every minute of her!

I know she isn’t wearing her bow, but this face melts my heart.

Day 6: Taco Tuesday 🌮

Kensie had an awesome day today! She let us sleep through the night last night (minus eating) and slept in her crib like a champ! It was her first day home with just mommy and she had a great day eating, sleeping and chatting about life! 😉

Kensie Brooke in her Grey bow!

We took a walk to the mailbox to get some fresh air and she absolutely loved it!

This afternoon her Aunt Shell came over after work for a visit and she babysat so I could run to the store. She was so good and I was so thankful for a few minutes back in the real world!

Aunt Shell and K!

And finally…Tuesday’s are for family dinners and TACOS! Kensie had her first Taco Tuesday tonight with Aunt Char and Uncle Rob! We started the tradition when K was the just the size of an Appleseed in my belly.
We caught her mid yawn…the taco party wore her out!

Day 5: K goes to the Doctor

Today Kensie had her first doctor visit! She did great and was told to keep on drinking the milk! 🍼 The doctor said she’s as alert at 5 days as a 2 week old baby.

We also found out she loves car rides and her car seat! Especially when daddy swings it back and forth a little. 😉 She rocked her sparkle bow today!

Little Miss Alert on her car rides!
Those lungs are definitely developed. 👌🏼

Day 1: Kensington is Here!!!

K was still hanging out in my belly at 40+ weeks so the plan was to be induced on Thursday, 10/20.

On Tuesday night (10/18), Chris came home with Publix bags and said he was making dinner and I “had to eat it all”.  He told me it was a special salad that induces labor. LOL! I told him if it happened that night I’d give him all the credit. We joked around about it…but sure enough 2 hours after dinner I atarted having contractions! A little uncertain, nervous and excited, we decided to make our way to the hospital.

We got there around 11:30p and by 12:15a my contractions had sped up to 2-3 minutes apart and strengthened immensely. We were sent to walk around the hospital for 2 hours. It was a long, painful 2 hours…but just before 4am we were officially admitted and it was GO TIME!

Though the photo seems hilarious and shows how exhausted they were, this picture means the world to me:

(Husband and my momma!) Neither one of them had slept since Monday night – and they had to sit in a freezing cold room in not so cozy chairs. These 2 were the absolute best support system for me through every second of labor. They were there through every up and down and that time holds memories I’m forever thankful for.

It was a LONG, painful and exhausting 27 hours, but our beautiful little girl made her entrance into the world on Thursday, 10/20/16 at 12:22am! She was obviously waiting for the day she was told in the first place. 😉 She weighed 7lb 15.6oz and was 19.5in long.

She is more perfect than I ever could have imagined. She’s such a strong, alert little girl and has the most gorgeous, piercing blue-steel eyes. Kensie loves to look around and practice pushing herself up off her tummy (yep, already!).

After she rocked her birthday suit, she  kicked off her first day in style with her fancy hospital hat!!

So grateful for this amazing addition to our family and thankful for a healthy delivery for mom and baby.

Day 3: Football and Family

Kensie had a very exciting first Saturday at home! Our morning started with some sweet surprise visitors from Jacksonville. 2 of my very best friends showed up with Starbucks for me and cuddles for K!

Aunt Keelin and Aunt Awesome

Then she cheered on the UCF Knights with her daddy and she’d like to credit herself with the win. 😜

Then she got to spend the rest of the day with her Uncles, Grandma and Grandpa!!!

KB family day!

Aside from napping in most of her photos today – this little girl is so alert. She loves to look at whoever is holding her and has the most hilarious, stern, “I’m poooping” face.

She got to rock 2 of her bows today since she made a “post football” outfit change!

Sweet snuggles with her Grandma!

And in other breaking news, I love this sweet girl more and more with every single second that passes!

Day 4: Sunday Funday

Kensie went on her first car ride today so we could enjoy the gorgeous weather for a little while! She had a few visitors this afternoon as well. She loves to look at everyone! Other than that, we got to relax and spend some sweet family time together. She gave lots of snuggles…and got milk drunk.

We’ve been limited on our bow selection since a lot of them are too big for her right now, but today’s fit just right!!!

Day 2: Going Home

After Kensie eats her breakfast, she gets burp and snuggle time with daddy. It is one of my favorite things to watch. Chris is such an amazing daddy already and Kensie is so in love with him!!

On the first day, they both dosed off a little. I was just trying to take a picture of them because I thought it was cute; then, I realized K didn’t fall asleep. Instead she was just laying there staring at her daddy! The two of them together completely melts my heart.

K passed all her tests and since mommy was feeling great, too, we got the okay to take her home!

She rocked her big pink bow for discharge day!
