Kensie had her first “real” day of dance for the fall season! If you ask her if she had fun, she’ll tell you yes. It’s because she had fun coloring. Not dancing.

Kensie was SO excited when I picked her up from daycare to go to dance class! She was even pumped to run up to the door and get in the building.
When it came to going into the actual classroom…LAWD help us all. Sista had a melt ππΌ down ππΌ! I figured she’d cry but then settle down and participate once I was out of the room for a few minutes. I was wrong. She was so worked up and kept screaming she wanted to leave.
I opened the door back up after a few minutes and got her to calm down and she agreed to go back in if I went with her. She sat on my lap for a few minutes and watched, then told me she wanted to go home. No worries though, because on the way home she told me she wanted to go back to dance class. π
She has 2 more chances before we just call it quits and move on…
In other news, Leighton has been changing and growing by the day!! She’s started to scoot her pacifier into her mouth on her own and is sort of warming up to her car seat…
She still gets fussy in the car but she’s chilled out on the blood curling screams at least!!
L is a champ at putting herself to sleep (knock on wood) and is so content hanging out! She’s constantly smiling and cooing and being the best babe around. I fell asleep yesterday for 30 minutes thinking she was about to take a nap, too. I woke up and homegirl was wide awake, happy as can be just looking around!
Excuse my mom voice…π But Leighton is the best calm balance to her sassy almost threenage sister. π
Last night we took a trip to see B and celebrate her birthday!! The girls loved seeing their cousins! Kens ran around and played and L gave B and Lillie sweet snuggles.

Kensie was wondering why it wasn’t an Elsa party…but the fact that she got cake satisfied her enough π
And since I know you’re all wondering, Leighton didn’t let us down…she was sure to have a blowout in her car seat so we could make a solid entrance, complete with an outfit change.
On Friday K starts gymnastics…I’ll hold back my excitement based on our dance experience but this class is “mom and me” until she’s 3, so pray for us. π
