Well, today Kensie signed the word “eat”, played peek-a-boo by herself, peed on the floor and is gunning for Captain of Team No Sleep! I won’t post the video because she’s naked and there’s too many creeps nowadays – but K was standing by the tub waiting for it to fill for her bath and next thing I know? Puddle. At first I thought the tub was leaking. Then I saw K’s wet leg and foot and I couldn’t stop laughing. Mom. Fail.
Her naps the last 2 days have been off schedule and WAY too short. I feel like she’s so excited for all the things she can do and reach and play with that she doesn’t want to miss a second of opportunity.
Yeah. That’s how her morning nap went.
Kens was a little cranky today and that second tooth is almost through!
Lunch was a bust (because she was way over tired and just wanted the milk) but dinner was a success!!! When I sat her down I asked if she wanted to eat and did the sign like I always do. Today, she did it back!! I counted the pieces of turkey I gave her became yesterday I wasn’t too sure how much she really ate. She had 10 pieces and only one left on the tray and one in her lap!
I love the mimicking stage because it’s making her sign language much easier to teach.
Kensie had sweet potato chunks for the first time too and was shoveling those babies in! (She’s only had it purรฉed before). There’s hope!!! My child may actually start eating real food! Turkey and Sweet Potatoes for the win.
I’m trying to get her in a habit so we did breakfast lunch and dinner today in her high chair and gave it a go. I’m hoping once she recognizes the routine she’ll start eating more before she decides to rip off her bib, shake her head side to side and throw all her food on the floor. She wasn’t interested in the egg yolk but she ate all of her oatmeal at breakfast!
Mrs. Heidi worked on extending Kensie’s float time today at swim so I’m looking forward to seeing how she does with it when she tests next week!
We also found K’s teething egg today and little miss was THRILLED! It must have fallen out of her diaper bag but it was with the pool toys.
I posted this on my Facebook earlier, but it’s too great to not be documented here as well. When I went to leave for the gym today, K was crawling around the house. I grabbed her and told her we had to go. She looked right at me, said bye, and reached back down for the floor. ๐ It may have been coincidence, but it was hilarious anyway. K is such a diva.
Kensie had tons of friends at the gym today. I actually think from the time I put her down to play I didn’t have to pick her up again until it was time to go! I am so thankful for the awesome people that love K and play with her so I can coach and workout! They’re extra awesome for sending me photos for the blog. ๐
Today’s takeaway? I shall keep her diaper on until her bath is ready from now on.
