I feel like the photos I have of Kensie today are so deceiving of her actual attitude. Holy grouch!

She did have some sweet moments of redemption, but the breakdowns and crankiness in between were less than enjoyable.
I DID get a “blow a kiss” video (finally). She’s changed it up some from her original method. She can make the kiss sound without her finger now so she’s combined them. π
Either she just woke up on the wrong side of the crib and it was one of those days (we’ve all been there, girl, I’ll let it slide), or the molars are breaking through and making her miserable.

KB took a short morning nap and woke up crying. The crying proceeded for the next 10 minutes off and on combined with a sassy ass attitude. She didn’t want me to hold her. Or not hold her. Or give her a bottle. Or take it away. Or let her sit on the couch. Or let her get off the couch. Nothing. Made. Her. Happy.
I laid her back down because my conclusion was she needed to go back to sleep and try again. π€·πΌββοΈ She settled down some and laid there for a while. It was a little better after round 2.

We got out of the house for a bit to have lunch with Titi and Aunt Emmy. KB was happy as long as she got to do what she wanted (shocker), like sit on the table and empty the sugar container. (See photos above). It was that, let her walk around barefoot, or listen to her scream. One of those “choose your battles” moments. π€·πΌββοΈ
Crank came back home and took another short nap. She woke up a little less grouchy, but still dramatic.
She spent the rest of the day/evening with Daddy while I coached. He said she was completely fine and happy the whole time. π Thanks kid.

Oh. And in case you’re wondering, the potty is a hit.

I posted about this a while back when I weaned KB and her diaper started to smell like death and said I was going to get it to give it a shot. When I went back to get it, it was gone. Today, it was back!

Iβm praying this round of teething doesn’t screw up her sleeping AGAIN. It seems like every time this has happened, it’s messed her up and had her waking up at all hours of the night. She’s been such a champ since our one night of miserable sleep training and always sleeps 11-12 hours straight now. (knock on wood!!!) The last 2 nights she’s woken up around 11 crying. I give her Motrin and she goes right back to sleep. Tonight I remembered to be proactive and gave it to her before she fell asleep. Here’s hoping I dodged that bullet!

KB has also started this new thing with carrying a blanket around the house. Her blankets are rolled up in a basket that’s on a bottom shelf in her room. We haven’t used them in months. This last week shares started taking one out and walking around with it.

Kens has also started putting things away! Sort of. If she brings me something and I ask her to put it away, half the time she’ll walk to where it goes and put it back. The other half of the time she starts to walk that way then throws it on the floor and starts doing something else. I’ll take what I can get!
