Well, Kensie didn’t make it to the main event tonight! I guess we will have to find another day to rock her American flag romper and bow. π€·πΌββοΈ
Gym clothes πΊπΈ
This momma is NOT complaining, though! We had such a fun day at Aunt Ashley and Uncle Will’s pool party.
I promise it was empty and rinsed out. She just likes cans. π€·πΌββοΈπ …and cards. And graham crackers!
Safe to say Kensie had a blast with some of her favorite people! She is over her pool float (prefers to be held while she splashes) but Aunt Ashley got her to tolerate it for a few minutes.
Then she kept drinking the pool water so we took her out. ππ
Kensie took a break from playing in the pool to watch Moana and take a nap. We actually got 2 naps out of her in the middle of the party so that was a solid parenting win!
We came home around Kensie’s bedtime to feed the pups and bathe K and she was heavy eyed. After she ate she went right to sleep without a sound so we cancelled our firework plans! Luckily we had enough neighbors blowing things up that we basically missed nothing.
Thanks to her sound machine (and being exhausted from playing) Kensie slept through all of it! Maybe next year she’ll make it to the fireworks.
And this is how she took her morning nap. No joke.
We had a longggg morning nap and a long afternoon nap to go with it! By we I mean her. Not sure if she was recouping from the busy weekend or from not sleeping through the night. π
Kens had a special lunch date with daddy and some friends! She loves to “participate” now. (That means climb all over and try to grab things off the table). I gave her some bread and she was extremely pleased with her situation.
Slobber City! (She still doesn’t swallow it…just plays with it in her mouth).
This afternoon Aunt Emmy came to play with Kensie while I coached a few classes! K was happy as could be to have someone watch her play.
And of course they snap chatted π
(I couldn’t find K’s gold bow again after lunch so we switched to pink.)
Kensie made a guest appearance at the end of class to run the cool down.
“Flap the arms guys!”“And child’s pose”. How appropriate.
One thing is for sure: KB loves being the center of attention. She was ALL smiles as she crawled into the middle and looked at everyone.
Today was an extra special day because it’s Aunt Shell’s birthday!!! Go figure we got a sweet gift in the mail from her today.
“Because Your Mommy Does CrossFit” πHappy Birthday, Aunt Shell!!!Now that we are back home and her schedule was normal, we gave the whole “cry it out” thing another shot tonight. K didn’t even make it to crying! She fussed some and was out in less than 10 minutes. Phew! She cried real tears last night and I couldn’t let her do it. I felt too bad from the long day she had so I picked her up and let her sleep with me instead. Oops. π€·πΌββοΈ
It was competition weekend for mom & dad Kensie was our number one fan! I probably should have posted the days separately but since I didn’t, get ready for a photo overload. π
Having a baby to feed in between WODs was quite the experience. We were extremely thankful that Grandpa and Grandma came to cheer us on and help and watch K while we competed!
Running through the curtains with Grandpa was definitely a highlight of K’s day! Gramma for the nap win!!!
Kensie had a slight meltdown on Saturday as she fought off a nap and was hungry and flat out wanted her momma. I was in the middle of a workout so thankfully my mom walked her around where I couldn’t see her so I wouldn’t have an anxiety attack! Lol
When we finished, my mom powers kicked in and I went from trying to breath and recover on all fours to having to hold this babe and feed her. Becoming a mom really improves your recovery time. π€·πΌββοΈ
My sweet momma’s girl….don’t worry Kensie I already couldn’t feel my arms. ππ
Kens was our team mascot so she had to jump in on some photos in between crawling all over the place.
Team CFEO!
After competing Saturday, we had a gender reveal party to go to for one of my best friends! We were late – but she loves us so she waited before they did the big shebang!
Finally expanding Kensie’s circle with a baby boy!
On Sunday morning we got to watch Coach Murii in her weightlifting competition before we competed. She was the WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!!
Some lady gave Kens a glow stick while we were waiting on the meet to start. I know it’s not safe blah blah blah…I let her play with it for a little bit then threw it away. So proud! And Kensie clapped after all her lifts!
Kensie was such a great babe for having to “sit” most of the day when she really just wanted to play, play, play (aka crawl)! I’m pretty sure Gramma and Grandpa are going to sleep well tonight after all the energy they spent keeping K baby entertained and distracted from wanting to get down and explore.
Fun fact: shaker bottles double as rattles In between workout snacks with mommy!
Kens didn’t sleep well in her pack and play (up every 1.5 hours Friday night π΅) and just wanted to be in bed with mommy and daddy. I was extra thankful for daddy taking over bath duties and bedtime on Saturday so I could have some time to relax!
I think I got kicked out of the bed…at least they were cozy!
KB finished off the weekend by hanging with her boyfriend, Jake. He shared his Cheerios (her first ever and she loved them), she grabbed his cheek and smooched him as usual and they posed in their Gym onsies.
CrossFit momma’s with our CrossFit babes!
It was an awesome weekend competing after a year and a half off! Super proud of this crew and thankful for their support, hard work, great teamwork and the memories we made! (So sentimental, I know).
#RepYourBox6 This is what we do in between adulting. These amazing people all came to cheer us on!ο»Ώ My favorite part was the hugs and kisses from this girl after each workout! #Diva
I already posted our twinning photo, but it’s worth adding to her blog, too. π
I lucked out with the BEST version of KB on Friyay!!
We are heading out of town for a competition this weekend and she was not only a trooper while we ran errands and got packed, but she slept the whole drive to Jacksonville! We made a quick pit stop at my High School for my 10 year reunion weekend! π³
Kens didn’t eat much before we went in and it was close to bed time so I was prepared for a cranky baby. Thankfully, it was quite the opposite.
One of my best friends from HS and our amazing Class President that organized the reunion!
Kens also fed herself a bottle in the car. How the heck did she get so good at that when she rarely has a bottle?
Those eyes when it flashes π
K was pumped that she got to sit in the “big girl” part of the stroller while we ran errands today!
Too busy eating the straps to smile.
Kensie had so much fun rearranging the closet and crawling ALL around the house. I was trying to wear her out before she had to sit in the car for 3 hours and I’d say it was a success.
Thank you Kens I really needed one more thing to put away. π€·πΌββοΈ KB loves playing with her puppies!
Hoping this bugaboo lets me get some sleep tonight because I’m surely going to need it!!
